Tom focuses his practice primarily in the areas of business and tax law, healthcare
law, estate planning and probate, and real estate law. He earned his undergraduate
degree in 1976 from the University of Chicago, with honors, and graduated in 1982
from Creighton University Law School, magna cum laude, where he served as an Associate
Editor of the Creighton Law Review. During his over 25 years of legal practice in
Omaha, Mr. Brown has represented numerous professional organizations, including
physician and dental practices, health organizations, accounting firms and other
law practices. He has also served on the boards of several charitable organizations
active in the health and science fields. In addition, he has substantial experience
counseling closely-held and family-owned business enterprises. In doing so, he regularly
deals with the varied, and often interrelated, legal issues that such firms encounter,
from organizational and start-up matters, to assisting in expansion, acquisition
and merger activities, to developing and executing estate and family succession
planning for owners. He has published several articles on legal issues.
